For today's project I decided to work on a page that's going in the family journal book that I'm working on, and I've used the cute Pirate Boy from Lauren's Lilliputs on a photo mat that slides into an acetate pocket on the page. For my clean and simple card I've used an i cling Butterfly stamp, and used the Thank You sentiment from a Studio 112 stamp set. Both stamps are from the dollar bin at the craft stores. The ribbon is by Offray, the floral leaves are by I Am Roses, and I'm not sure on the little white and pink flowers. While I absolutely love the look of other people's CAS cards, they are still a struggle for me! Which of course means that I should get practicing and this was a perfect challenge to get me motivated.

Squiggle Stamps - Feed the Birds

The design paper is Jillybean Soup, and so are the little pigs I've cut out. Hard to tell from the photo, but the pigs and part of the corn stalks are dimensional. For my gift tag I've used a lightweight chipboard butterfly, covered it in Kraft cardstock, and sprayed it with some glimmery mist I've made. The butterfly stamp is from a dollar bin, and it's been stamped directly onto the chipboard piece before I covered it and peeled back a window. I've taken bits and pieces from a Spring floral bush and a candle ring to add the flowers and beaded branch. I finished it off with some faux stitching along the edge.

Hi! I've been away for a bit getting some things settled, and am slowly coming back. Wow, I have so missed you all! I'm fortunate to be on design teams that are so fabulous and run by some wonderfully patient people. A big thank you for that ladies, you've all been simply awesome.

Today's project is a fun image from Squiggle Stamps called Flower Clock, and I just love it! There are so many directions to go with this image, but this time I chose colors that were soft and more vintage looking. The little wooden frame was unfinished, and a dollar store find that I just had to paint. I'm using another sweet image from Squiggle Stamps, and her name is Fairy Wishes (from the Fenella and Friends Line). The image has been colored with Copics, and has Stickles added to her shoes, wand and crown. Her wings are painted with Creative Inspirations paint. The little heart and keys are a MS punch. I've also used some flowers on the heart background that are a mix of fabric flowers and the little felt flowers from the $1 bin at Michaels. The brown and red stamped images are also from Michaels. Another page closer to completing this mini album, but I'll have to pause again to finish up some Valentine Cards!

I've worked on some new tags this week and had a lot of fun trying out some new things. Two of the flowers are made using book pages, the third is with cardstock. All three were sprayed with Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist. I've worked on another page from my coaster album for today's challenge. The ribbon is from the same collection (Blizzard by Harmonie that I was able to get from Rhonda at Your Scrapbook Supply). I've also added some bling, flowers, stickles (on the snowmen's hat bands that I found impossible to get a shot of), Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist (Dazzling Diamond on the tags), and the sweet MS Monarch Butterfly that I covered in Glossy Accents. (the butterfly looks a bit rust colored with the Glossy Accents, but it's punched from paper in the collection and is actually similar to that gorgeous ribbon in color.
