Squiggle Challenge - Create A Scene

Hi Everyone!  I'm back with the new Squiggles Challenge!  This week we'd love to see you Create a Scene!  I've used Tea 4 Two and colored the image with Copics.  I've used Spellbinders for the image and the scallop behind it, and hand cut the awning over the little ladies using the negative from the scallop cut.  I've also added some pearls, cut out a few trees to make them dimensional, and painted the table and chairs with Winter Frost CI Paint.
We'd love to see you join in!  Just stop by the Squiggle Stamps Blog to read about this week's new challenge, and upload your card or project when it's ready.

Trinket Box

A few weeks ago I purchased the August box from CraftSponge on YT.  It included goodies from Lavish Laces as well.  This is the project I made using some of the items from the box!
It started out a paper mache box that I painted pink.  I used a piece of Blush paper from the Lost and Found collection for the lid, and for the inside of the box.  The flowers are from the CraftSponge box, the laces are as well (from Lavish Laces).  The leaves were white, so I used Chocolate and Fairy Dust Creative Imaginations paints to alter them the way I wanted, and then added a bit of the same combination of the paints to the roses for that vintage and glimmery look.  The pink swirl bling is recollections, the and the clear bling with the buttons is from my stash.
You can visit my YT channel to see a video showing the contents of the box, as well as my trinket box: here

A Few Words on Squiggle Stamps

It's sad to have to share the news that Squiggle Stamps will be closing by the end of the year.  I've had a wonderful time being on the DT!  Tracy has been so kind to us all, and Eva has benn wonderful keeping the DT on schedule these past months.  I sure will miss seeing new images, but will continue to enjoy those that I have.  There is a 50% off sale on the website, so please stop by the Squiggle Stamps store to purchase the images you'd like while they are still available.

Mr Fix It

Hello crafty friends!  I was very lucky yesterday and won a Whimsie Doodles store credit from their blog hop.  Thank you so much Whimsie Doodles!  Of course I had to go right over and choose some of the darling images they have, and the one I've used on this project is called Mr. Fix It.
While many people relax on a long weekend, my Dad is Mr. Fix It and has been spending his Labor Day weekend working on projects.  He is forever looking for a paper and pencil to jot down measurements, and I thought his own little notebook might help.  This comes from a multi pack that probably came from one of the office stores.  It had no cover, so I cut a piece of chipboard to fit, covered it in Kraft cardstock, and used some Cosmo Cricket paper for the background.  The image has been colored with Copic markers, and Creative Inspirations Paint was used on his shirt, buttons, and screwdriver. (Antique Silver, Fairy Dust)  The lettering is from a set of stickers I've had stashed away for quite a while, and I've gone over the lettering with the CI paint as well.  The bling is from my stash, the ovals are cut from Spellbinders dies, and I've used Tea Dye distress ink around the edges.

The Challenges I'm entering are:
CI Paints Challenge - Inspired by Labor Day
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - #91 - Sparkle and Shine (bling and CI shimmer paints)
Totally Stampalicious - Anything Goes
OOZAK - Sparkle (bling and CI shimmer paints)
Catch the Bug Challenge - Anything Goes
