CIP - Smile

Hi CIP fans and followers!  I've made a card to brighten someone's day, and painted it up with the shimmery paints from the Creative Inspirations Paint store.  The image (Photo Lizzie, by Whimsie Doodles) has several colors: Turquoise, Antique Silver, Sage, and Silver Frost.  The scalloped background she's on is accented in Turquoise as well.  I had a bit of fun with some white seam binding and Sapphire Inspirations paint.  Just added a bit of alcohol to the paint and coated the seam binding.  Then I rinsed it with water to lighten it up for my project.  Just crinkled and used my heat gun to dry.

Mixed Media - Dreams

I did a mixed media art challenge with a friend, Sue, on YT!  This page is what I came up with.  It's my first attempt at mixed media in my art journal, and I really had a lot of fun with it.  I'm definitely looking forward to getting more practice in.

I started this project with a layer of white Gesso, then used the Gelato paints from Faber Castell to color the background.  The words are a modeling paste used with a TCW template.  All of the shimmer on this page is from the Creative Inspirations Paint store.  The silhouette image is something I found online and printed up, then fussy cut it and heat embossed it with the Deliquesce Black from CIP.  Next I die cut the lamppost (holiday lamppost from Sizzix) on lightweight black chipboard, painted it with Coal and Buttercup CIP paints, and then heat embossed it with the Deliquesce Clear.  I used Fairy Dust paint over the words, and Winter Frost across the images and areas of the background.  The die cut and silhouette were adhered with an acrylic matte medium, which I also used to seal the entire page when I was done.
You can also see a video of this project here (or on my YT channel at FaerieTalesWithPaper):

CIP - Happy Valentine's Day

Hi there CIP fans, Happy Valentine's Day!  I've made a card for the holiday, and used plenty of shimmer from the Creative Inspirations Paint store.  The image is accented with Inspirations paint in Burnt Clay and a touch of Sea Foam.  The background die cuts are also in Sea Foam and Burnt Clay Creative Inspirations Paint.  I finished the card off with a bit of bling, and some cut out hearts that I've edged in Sea Foam.  I accented the hearts by dipping my finger in the paint and lightly running along the edges. (great fun, and it washed right off with soap and water)

CIP - Pretty in Sea Foam

Hi there CIP fans!  I've made a card for any occasion to share with you today, and of course I've used lots of shimmer from the Creative Inspirations Paint store.  The image is accented with Inspirations paint in Sea Foam, as well as a touch of Blue Ice.  The larger flower is painted in the Sea Foam, and the scalloped background she's on is in Burnt Clay.  I finished the card off with the Burnt Clay on the two small roses to tie everything together.
