Mr Fix It

Hello crafty friends!  I was very lucky yesterday and won a Whimsie Doodles store credit from their blog hop.  Thank you so much Whimsie Doodles!  Of course I had to go right over and choose some of the darling images they have, and the one I've used on this project is called Mr. Fix It.
While many people relax on a long weekend, my Dad is Mr. Fix It and has been spending his Labor Day weekend working on projects.  He is forever looking for a paper and pencil to jot down measurements, and I thought his own little notebook might help.  This comes from a multi pack that probably came from one of the office stores.  It had no cover, so I cut a piece of chipboard to fit, covered it in Kraft cardstock, and used some Cosmo Cricket paper for the background.  The image has been colored with Copic markers, and Creative Inspirations Paint was used on his shirt, buttons, and screwdriver. (Antique Silver, Fairy Dust)  The lettering is from a set of stickers I've had stashed away for quite a while, and I've gone over the lettering with the CI paint as well.  The bling is from my stash, the ovals are cut from Spellbinders dies, and I've used Tea Dye distress ink around the edges.

The Challenges I'm entering are:
CI Paints Challenge - Inspired by Labor Day
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - #91 - Sparkle and Shine (bling and CI shimmer paints)
Totally Stampalicious - Anything Goes
OOZAK - Sparkle (bling and CI shimmer paints)
Catch the Bug Challenge - Anything Goes

Squiggles Challenge - Color Board

Hi Everyone!  I'm back with another Squiggles Challenge!  This week we're using a color board and creating a project with the colors it contains.  I've used the Jessabelles Flight for my image, and colored her with Copics.  The patterned paper is from the 6 x 6 DeLovely pad by Cosmo Cricket, and the die cuts are from Spellbinders.  I've also added a few pearls from Queen and Co, and I think the glittered buttons are from Doodlebug.
We'd love to see you join in!  Just stop by the Squiggle Stamps Blog to read about this week's new challenge, and upload your card or project when it's ready.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
