CIP - Leprechaun Duo

Hi CIP fans and followers!  I just had to stamp this sweet Leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day, and to follow along with the current Go Green challenge!  I had fun with Creative Inspirations Paint, and added a bit of paper piecing.  I've used quite a few shimmery paints from the Creative Inspirations Paint store, along with the Deliquesce Metallic Copper embossing powder for the sentiment.  The paint colors used are: Copper (all along the scalloped edge), Carmel and Raw Sienna (stockings), Emerald and Evergreen (Shamrocks and jacket accents), Green Olive (hat sash), Gold (coins and buckles), and Sunshine (star shape in coins).
Here is a closer look at the CIP products that I've used:

Emily Lil Duckies - Just for You Card

Hi crafty friends!  I've used another of the really fabulous Lacy Sunshine Stamps adorable images, Emily Lil Duckies.  She was last week's share for the challenge (you just had to email the artist, Heather Valentin, and ask).  I had actually requested her too late to get a card done, but Heather kindly shared her with me, so I really wanted to get her entered in the new Lacy Sunshine Challenge.  She's been colored in Copics, sparkled with the Spica clear pen, and layered on some older BasicGrey paper I have.  The border punch is by MS, the flowers are a mix of Recollections and WOC, the die cut leaf is SB with Angel Dust CIP Paint, the bling is Recollections, and the sentiment is Hero Arts with Creative Inspirations Paint Deliquesce Embossing Powder.  Of course I had to get several other images to play with, so I'll be sharing more of those soon.
Here's a close-up of Emily Lil Duckies:

Sentimental Sundays #3

Wow, where do the weekends slip away to? Well here is a fun point to add to your week, a new challenge with Sentimental Sundays. Be sure to stop by the blog and see the fun creations by the rest of the design team!  This is challenge #3, and the theme is:
New Beginnings

I've used one of Ann's lovely sentiments from a Celebration set. I was thinking of new relationships, the similarities and differences that bring people together, and of the variety in the beautiful new flowers of Spring.  The flowers are stamped from a Basic Grey set.

You must use a sentiment somewhere on your card, and follow the theme however you may interpret it, in order to enter the challenge. While Ann (Raindrop Echo Designs) offers fabulous freebies, and also sells a wide variety of sentiment stamps through Whimsy Stamps, you are free to use any sentiment you choose (from any company, one of your own, etc). Be sure to link up on the Sentimental Sundays blog before the next challenge, and use a direct link to make it easy for us to find your fabulous card or project!

I'm entering this card into these challenges as well:
I Love Digi #7: Charming
Clean and Simple #90: Sketch (their sketches are really helping me clean up cards!)
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge # 83: Metal (Charm)
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges #23: Metal Mania (Charm)
ColourQ Challenge #32: Kiwi Kiss, Groovy Guava, Kraft, Basic Black, Vanilla
Oh La La Creations Challenges #53:  Minimalist

Guest post at Raise the Bar

Hope everyone is having a great Friday! It's a gloomy day today, but we can always use the rain that's so rare this time of year.

I was a guest this week on Raise the Bar for challenge #8, and their theme for this challenge is: Go Green. You can stop by their blog to enter: HERE

I used Hello Ian from The Greeting Farm, he is SUCH a cutie, isn't he? I used some Basic Grey DP (Origins) and Core'dinations solids. Added a bit of silk ribbon and gems and colored him with Copic markers with a bit of paper piecing (hat and scarf).

Susana, the super sweet store owner of SCACD, sent me a piece of Magic Mesh with my latest order, and of course I had to try it out! Besides adding texture and interest, it sticks on its own! Danni for this new addiction.

Have fun, and happy creating!

In a Galaxy Far Far Away

With a special birthday coming up I had to find just the right image, and I really think this is the perfect pick. This little guy comes from the Galactic Friends set by Alota Rubber Stamps. The first time I saw it used was on Stamp Owl’s (Frances) blog, and if you’ve visited her site already then you know what a brilliant card designer she is. (she tempts me to go out and purchase every stamp she uses!)

I used this week’s Basic Grey sketch by Tara G, along with their Granola and Ambrosia papers for this card. I also used their Glazed Brads, which I just love that they’re coordinated to the paper sets! You can find the Basic Grey week 9 challenge: HERE
